Rebuilding Together Day -
April 28
 Serving Our Community
Five men showed how we care for our community and are willing to serve in it. John Dyas, Chuck (John’s brother), Eric Elliot, Jim Johnson and Matt McReynolds worked at a single  elderly woman’s house. They repaired a broken front door, a deteriorating ceiling, major plumbing problems, prepared the house for gutters, applied a fresh coat of paint and planted azaleas in the woman’s yard. They represented this congregation well by serving for a few hours on Saturday morning, April 30th, through an  organization called Rebuilding Together. The Jim Johnson life group along with Jim Cox's lifegroup did some community service at the Ozark food bank. It was a rewarding morning for all of us. We were met by one of the supervisors there and were directed to the work that needed to be done. We spent a couple of hours labeling vegetable cans and placing them in boxes for distribution. This food will be sent for people in need in our community. There is a huge amount of work that needs to be done at this facility.
