What is My Personal Style? - Your Personal Style refers to your "personality" or "temperament.". God wired you in a unique and wonderful way. As you discover more information about your personal style it will help you identify how you should serve in ministry for maxi um effectiveness.

For the Discovery Seminars we utilize two useful tools to help you understand your personal style better. |

1.) The Kerisey Personality Sorter
- The Kerisey Personality Sorter II based on the best selling book Please Understand Me II by David Keirsey is one of the best personality inventories on the market. It uses the four letter system developed by the Myers Briggs tests and is amazingly accurate.
- In the Discovery Seminar we use the results from the Keirsey Personality Sorter. You should complete the sorter before you come to class.
- There are two ways to take the inventory...
- You may request The Sixteen Types booklet from the office. The booklet contains the personality test you may take, instructiones for grading the test, and a general explination of the sixteen personality types.
- Or, you may take one of the two on-line versions of the Keirsey Sorter.
In either case be sure to record your four letter score to be used in the seminar.

It also provides a link you can use to look up your results from the list of Sixteen Types. It will give you a basic understanding of your personality and can be used in the Discovery Seminar. This site is very complete and professional. It provides a free service that will tell you two of the letters but they charge $14.95 for a complete report and $19.95 for a career report. 2.) Personal Style Assessment from NETWORK MINISTRIES
This assessment will be included in your seminar notebook and completed in class.
Bruce Bugbee and Don Cousins, two of the pioneers in mobilizing people for ministry, provide this simple but useful tool to help you discover whether you are ENERGIZED by people or tasks and whether you are Structured or Unstructured in your organizational style. Together those two pieces of information will help you identify where you will be comfortable and successful in ministry.
