| Volunteer needs at Decision Point.
- Monday - Friday we need 1-2 people to help from 5pm to 10pm to help monitor clients during the evening activities.
- We also need 2 people on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm to help monitor clients during the day. At these times we have a several activities that make it difficult for the staff to fully monitor.
- Volunteers will need to go through a orientation process to let them know what is expected of them and what to expect while here. There will also be some paperwork collected in order to keep records of who is functioning in the facility at all times.
Senior Servants Ministry Area Leader (MAL) - We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with our Senior Servants to lead that group. This is one of our most active and dynamic groups and has the greatest potential for doing great acts of service both in the church and out in our community. Section Host Leader for the 8:00AM Service - The Section Host ministry is part of the plan to make everyone who attends feel welcome and at home. Section host/hostesses "adopt" a section of seats in the auditorium and make welcome all who come to that area. Trise & Teresa Sullins have taken over as Section Host Leaders for the 10:30AM Service. Section Host - A Section Host is an individual or a couple that is friendly and usually sits in the same place (section) each Sunday. Your responsibilities would be to get to know everyone in your "section" so you could identify Guests when they sit in your "section." When you identify a guest you do three things. 1) Introduce yourself to them. 2) Introduce them to other people in your section, and 3) Introduce them to a minister or shepherd after serve. Good News Reporters- We are looking for people to investigate and write about heart warming stories. The stories are about things our members do that normally don't get recognized. Reporters would need to be inquisitive and persistent to get down to the heart of the story. If you're interested contact the office at 273-2178 or e-mail. Welcome Center Manager for 10:30 Service- We need an individual or preferable a couple that would take over management of the Welcome and Information Center before and after the 10:30 service. Responsibilities include making sure the supplies are stocked. Scheduling volunteers to work in the center and following up to make sure the volunteers are in place. General opportunity to serve in “Rebuilding Together” :We need a team of eight people that would be willing to build one handicap ramp per month. All supplies would be paid for so only time is donated. I would like to have 12-16 people that would be good at this so we could fill an eight man or woman team every month--Do you have any ideas on this? I feel like this could be a great opportunity because some of these handicap people just might have open ears for Christ. Bus drivers - Individuals willing to get a CDL license and to be certified for carrying passengers. Drivers are subject to random drug testing.
